We went out for a surprise dinner last night for Brigitte's birthday - the BIG 29...haha. We started out at the Shanghai Restaurant in Ottawa's Chinatown - her favourite - and then headed over to the Heart & Crown in the market - a fun Irish pub with several live bands - for some drinks and dancing. I *stupidly* brought my Nikon rather than my P&S and it took us a long time to find a table so I wound up carrying it around and trying to dance....totally annoying.
However, a good time was had by all; we managed to surprise the birthday girl; we learned some new shooters (yum!); went out for poutine at 2 a.m.; and were all up WAY past our bedtimes.....
The first shot is of her beautiful cake (adorned with the dorky candles....a must-have!) and below is the disco-ball in the restaurant. It's an asian-fusion place that turns into a club later on in the evening!
