It's snowing again here in Ottawa and I decided to find something indoors to photograph (if it doesn't let up soon you'll all be intimately involved with every object in my house). I love my African violet; despite my negligence it remains happily in bloom almost all year long. I've always wondered why its underside was prettier than its outer surface.....

oh my god! it's gorgeous! i LOVE the color!
Would this fit Alex's and my requirement of unkillable plant. We want to get a plant but we don't want to be responsible for several plant death's a year. ;)
Not generally no :( Sorry!
If you want an unkillable plant ALWAYS choose a philodendron variety (there are dozens) or an arum fern (not your typical fern); I've never been able to kill either :)
that is gorgeous.
My grammy had some really beautiful african violets. I haven't seen one since she passed.
Thanks for reminding me of her today.
Beautiful! I love African Violets. But I always kill them :)
I love the colour-and the little fuzzies too.
