One of Brannon's best friends was married this weekend; I got to meet this little cutie at the rehearsal on Friday night. He's such a fun little guy; he was given a truck to play with at the rehearsal and it certainly kept his attention.

"Indulge" in Marcus
So, I attended a bachelorette party last night for one of my friends. The night started out with dinner at the Metropolitain Brasserie restaurant downtown followed by a stop at a hotel room where we were paid a visit by Marcus - yes, yes - he is an exotic dancer/stripper. Oh - and *I* hired him...eek! ANYWAY, he paid much attention to our very-good-sport of a bride-to-be but, unfortunately, this is all I'm comfortable with showing since it's not my face/backside in the photos (lucky for you!). Let's just say that he put on quite a show and got all the girls stirred up!
After this encounter we headed off to dance the night away at Suite 34 but the crowd was way too young and rather uncooperative so we headed over to the Velvet Room where we ended the night with a bang! Thanks to all who helped organize and who attended! I'm sure our bride won't forget it any time soon!
Stripper bum anyone?!?!?!

Hello Dahr-lings!
Check out my new darlings!
I work in a lab so fancy shoes are not high-priority items for me in terms of every-day fashion. HOWEVER, I've wanted red shoes for as long as I can remember. I even purchased a pair online last year (unavailable in store) and, sadly (ok, devastatingly), they were a tad too small. I still get to see them all the time though since one of my friends adopted them from me :)
Anyway, I'm going out for a night on the town on Saturday and I decided that now was the time I was going to splurge. These may not be the "prettiest" shoes many of you have ever owned but most of my fancy shoes still have to have some degree of practicality and lots of wear-ability (as a student, I am broke all the time!) so they are usually simple, nice but simple. These just scream 'FUN' to me and I cannot wait to wear them! Let's hope I can actually walk (and dance my @ss off) in them!

Second Sun
I'm not sure this officially called a 'second sun' but I was sitting in my living room yesterday with my friend Alex (who studies atmospheric sciences) when I noticed what looked like a bit of a rainbow in the clouds, it was yellow and red. I didn't know what it was but she said she was pretty sure it translated from German (her first language) to 'second sun' in English. I couldn't find anything about this on the internet this morning so if anyone knows anything about this, feel free to fill me in!
It's not much of a photo but I thought it was interesting anyway.

It's official!
I've started my Christmas shopping! I was on my own tonight so I decided to check out the holiday decor at Pier One Imports. I found very little that complimented my colour scheme but I did make several small purchases, including a gift for one of my friends. I saw something and immediately thought of her. SO, I've officially started getting ready for the holidays. I wonder when Brannon will let me put up the tree?!?!

Happy First Blog-iversary!
So, I made my first blog entry one year ago today; who knew I'd last a year?!?!
I grabbed some cheesecake on my way home to celebrate...and so I'd have something to photograph! I'd like to dedicate my one-year anniversary post to Evelin who sent me a message just today telling me she was sad my blog has been so quiet lately. Thanks Hun, and I'll try to get back on track, just for you :)
